WriteShop Junior Book D

Book D provides opportunities for students to practice brainstorming, planning, and organizing when developing stories. Students are taught to make sentences more interesting by using strong adjectives and active verbs, replacing weak words, and developing voice and emotion. Both nonfiction and fiction writing exercises are included.

The Book D Teacher's Guide includes an introduction to WriteShop, schedule planning tools, and detailed explanations of each element of a lesson. Individual lesson instructions include clear objectives, material lists, and step-by-step instructions. Additionally, lessons may include writing samples, sample dialogues, and prompts.
